Open KamAlert and press the "Surveillance Mode" button.

Place the phone camera lens facing the area you want to monitor. On phones with lens covers, open the cover.

When calibrated (could take up to 20 seconds), the Phone will give a long single Beep and for the next 30 seconds the system will be inactive to give you time to leave the room.  After this time the system becomes fully activated and will detect any movement in front of the camera.

If the camera cannot set itself (through lack of light or movement) an intermittent Beep will sound. In this case, you must try again with more light in the area selected.

To deactivate the Alarm enter your PIN CODE

General advice:

• It is recommended that the phone charger be used at all times with the device in Surveillance mode. Placing the Phone on its side can help positioning when charger leads are attached.
• Keep animals out of the room to avoid triggering a false alarm.
• Use the phone camera in areas not subject to changing light from doors opening or flickering light entering from windows.
• Place the phone where no one will accidentally walk in front of the camera. Should this happen, the alarm can be cancelled by entering your PIN on the screen.
• Allow sufficient light for the camera to function, for example a 25 or 40-Watt bulb.
• To remove the sound of the shutter during the photo or Video modes, please go to your phone’s Camera/Video menus and turn the shutter sound “OFF”.

Open the application and choose either the Medical Emergency or the Personal Danger button. This will take you to a Help Button screen for activation in case of an emergency.

Activating this Help Button will cause the SMS messages, emails and a voiceless phone call to be made to your contacts selected in the Settings.

To deactivate the Alarm enter your PIN CODE at any time.

General advice:

• If you are in a potentially dangerous situation, you can leave KamAlert turned on with the Help Button screen ready for instant activation!
• KamAlert is not a game, and should only be used in real emergency situations.
